My Profile

Your contact information and account login information. Use this option if you wish to change your password for the portal. From here, you can also activate or deactivate two-factor authentication for login. To activate two-factor authentication, click the black button at the bottom of the page.

Recovery Codes: you will receive a set of recovery codes that can be used to access your account in the event that you lose your trusted device for two-factor authentication. Be sure to keep these codes in a safe place. The codes will be in the form of an eight-character alphanumeric string with two blocks of four characters separated by a dash.

Once you receive your recovery codes, you will be prompted to proceed to enabling the two-factor authentication app configuration with GSatTrack. Your application of choice will either require a long authentication code or a QR code to be scanned. The app will display a 6-digit code, which will be used by GSatTrack to confirm the connection. Once complete, your two-factor authentication will be used for all future logins.

This is the page that manages all of the portal’s default settings for each account. Configurations made for each of the following can be altered on an individual basis, but defaults will be configured according to any selections here.

  • Language: set to browser default, but can be changed
  • Speed display: choice of units of measure
  • Lat/Lng format: choice of display method
  • Fuel units: choice of units of measure
  • Timezone: timestamps for events to appear in this timezone

  • Default map mode: choice between Live Mode or History Mode
  • Default map type: choice between road, satellite, terrain, open street map, or other custom tiles
  • Default history view: set the parameters by which historical view pulls its data
  • Options
    • Group positions on map: when a series of position reports cluster in the same radius over time, the map will display a single position with a number to indicate the amount of positions reported there. This will also occur when zoomed out if enabled.
    • Fade historic positions by time: the display icons on the Map View for position reports that are older will look less opaque by comparison to more recent reports
    • Remove roads from satellite maps: there are multiple map base layer options, and for satellite variants, this option will hide road line overlays and show only the surface imagery
    • Play audio on emergency: when an asset triggers an emergency alert notification that opens a popup, it will also play an alert sound from the portal.

Two-factor Authentication

Two-factor Authentication allows users to set up an external measure of security to accompany their standard login credentials. Typically this is an application on a trusted mobile device that has a code that changes every 10 seconds. Anyone attempting to access the account will have to have the device and temporary code in addition to login credentials.

To enable Two-factor Authentication, first download the application that will be used to generate the authentication to a mobile device that will be tied to the account. From the Manage - Security interface, click the Enable Two-factor Authentication, copy the codes from the next page to a secure source, and on the final page, scan the QR code or insert the long code to active the application and tie it to the account.
